About Us

The My-Fundraising-Project service is run by Ends (UK) Ltd. We are a small, family-run company based near Braintree in Essex. (Have a look at our contact details.) Our main business, which we run throughout the year, is the design and manufacture of high quality, personalised toys and gifts.

We started the My School Christmas Cards service in 2003, as an extension of our personalised greeting card service. The idea of raising money for schools without the school having to any spend money itself, or being left after the fundraising advent with unsold stock came, about because my wife, a class 2 teacher, wanted to have her class take part in the school fundraising campaign.

Little did we realise, at the time, how much the service would take off!

Our home is a series of old farm buildings that we have converted into a series of workshops for the design and manufacture of our products. For ten months of the year the workshops are lovely and spacious, but between the middle of October and the middle of December we are absolutely bursting at the seams as we take on the additional staff, equipment and raw materials that we need to produce your Christmas cards.

What makes us unique is our combination of a small company philosophy (high levels of craftsmanship and product quality with first class levels of customer service), combined with highly-tuned production methods that allow us to be flexible and responsive enough to cope with the very high volumes of completely personalised cards that we now produce each autumn. We use the very latest in printing technology and workflow management systems to ensure that we can deliver your unique pack of cards quickly, efficiently and without errors.

To give you some idea of the scale of the operation that we manage:

• We use 70 miles of card (produced from managed forests)
• We increase our staff levels 3 fold
• We send out 30,000 personalised cards each day, at the peak

Despite these huge volumes, we still care passionately about the quality of our products and the service that we offer. If you should experience any problems (no-one is 100% perfect – yet!) then there will always be someone available to take your call or answer your e-mail.

Many people are curious to know where the name “Ends” came from. Is it an acronym for something and, if so, what does it stand for? In fact, it’s not an acronym at all as the name actually comes from one of the first products that the company produced: bookends, or just ’ends for short!
